Teaching my son how to be a man
Took him deer hunting for the first time this season. No kill, but that wasn't the point. We spent 6 hours in the woods at dawn and he learned patience, respect for nature, and that being a man means showing up even when it's uncomfortable. Afterwards we went to breakfast and I told him I was proud of him just for trying. These are the moments you can't replicate on a screen.
Love this. My oldest is begging me to take him hunting next season. Not about the kill for me either, just wanting to spend that quiet time together and teach him something real.
