Teaching my son the value of a firm handshake and eye contact
Been working with my boy on these things since he was young because it matters. In a world where everyone's staring at their phones, a man who can look someone in the eye and give a solid handshake stands out. Taught him to address people as sir and ma'am, to be punctual, and to keep his word like it actually means something. These old school values don't just disappear because times change. They matter more now than ever.
You're on the right track. I've been teaching my kids the same thing because those little things actually stick with people. Plus it makes me proud when they remember to do it.
