Teaching My Son to Be a Man in Today's World

I've been thinking a lot about this lately. My old man taught me to shake a man's hand with a firm grip, look him in the eye, and keep your word no matter what. Simple stuff but it meant everything. Now I'm trying to pass that on to my boy and I gotta say it's harder than I thought. He's growing up in a world where half the guys won't even answer a phone call. But I'm committed to showing him that being a real man means taking responsibility, protecting your family, and treating people with respect. Anyone else fighting this same battle? How are you guys keeping it real with your sons?
