Teaching my son to be a man of his word

Been working with my 10 year old on keeping his commitments no matter what. If he says he'll help with something, he follows through. If he makes a mistake, he owns it instead of making excuses. My dad taught me this and it's served me well in business and life. Saw him tell his friend no today instead of agreeing to something he couldn't do. That's a real man in the making right there. Small victories.
