Teaching my son to be a man of his word

Been making a real effort to show my boys that when you say you're going to do something you do it period. No excuses no exceptions. Had to cancel some plans with friends last week because I'd promised the kids I'd help with their school projects. My oldest asked why I was canceling and I told him a man's word is his bond. Something seemed to click for him after that. Set a good example and they'll follow.
