Teaching my son to be a real man
Been thinking a lot about what it means to raise a boy right. My old man taught me you show up for people, you keep your word, and you stand up for what's right even when nobody's watching. I'm trying to pass that down but it feels like the world is working against it. Anyone else feel like basic principles like honesty and hard work are becoming rare? How do you instill that in your kids without sounding like a broken record?
You're hitting on something important here. Being a real man isn't about toughness or any of that old school stuff. It's about showing up, being present, and doing the right thing even when it's hard. Sounds like your old man knew what he was doing.
