Teaching my son to open doors for people

Started working with my 7 year old on opening doors for his mom, his sister, and the elderly folks at church. Some people seem confused by it but I don't care. It's about respect and showing people they matter. Want him to grow up understanding that real strength is being courteous and looking out for others. Any of you guys doing the same with your kids?
