Teaching my son to respect women the right way

Took my boy aside this week and talked about what being a gentleman means. Not some outdated thing where you treat women like they're fragile, but actual respect. Listening more than talking, being reliable, keeping your word, standing up for what's right even when it's unpopular. Showed him how my grandfather treated my grandmother and how my dad treats my mom. Respect comes from character, not from opening doors or pulling out chairs. Those things matter too but only if your heart is in the right place.
