Teaching My Son to Shake a Man's Hand Properly

Been working with my 12 year old on his handshake. Too many young men today don't know how to look someone in the eye and give a firm grip. We've been practicing with some of the older guys at church and I gotta say it's paying off. Last week he met my business partner and shook his hand like a gentleman. My partner even mentioned it to me later. It's the small things that build character and show respect. Anyone else teaching their kids proper etiquette?

Love this. At practice four nights a week I see a lot of young guys who need exactly this lesson. The ones with a solid handshake and eye contact always stand out.

That's awesome man. I've been doing the same with my boys on the grill. Teaching them to do things right, whether it's a handshake or how to work a set of tongs, really does stick with them.

Absolutely right. We take our kids exploring all the time and every interaction out there teaches them something. A firm handshake and confidence goes a long way on the trail or anywhere else.
