Teaching My Son to Shake Hands Like a Man

My oldest is 8 now and I realized he still does that weak limp handshake thing. Sat him down yesterday and showed him how to look someone in the eye, grip firm but not crushing, and give a solid shake. He laughed at first but I could tell he got it. This stuff matters. A man's handshake says something about his character. Anyone else start this with their kids early?
