Teaching my son to shake hands properly

Been working with my 8 year old on his handshake. Firm grip, eye contact, say your name clearly. His scout leader mentioned he had a weak handshake last week and I took that as a personal failing on my part. A man's word and his handshake should mean something. Started practicing with him every evening before dinner. Proud to say the scoutmaster noticed the improvement at the last meeting.

That's solid parenting right there. A good handshake opens doors, literally and figuratively. My 8 year old is just starting to get confident with it too, and practicing with family first makes a huge difference.
