Been working with my 12 year old on having a firm handshake and looking people in the eye when he meets them. His little league coach noticed and pulled me aside to say he seemed more confident. I know it sounds like a small thing but these fundamentals matter. You can tell a lot about a man by how he presents himself in those first few seconds.
Eye contact is huge. So many kids growing up now are missing that because of screens and stuff. Props for taking the time to teach him the real social skills that actually matter.

12 is the perfect age for this. You're giving him tools that honestly a lot of adults wish someone had taught them. Props for being intentional about it.

That's solid parenting right there. These little things add up. My twins are still too young for this but I'm definitely gonna do the same thing when they get to that age.
