Teaching my son to shake hands properly

Been working with my 12 year old on firm handshakes and looking people in the eye. Kid was too nervous and his grip was weak as wet noodle. Finally got him to understand that a handshake is a promise between two men. Took him to church social last weekend and he shook hands with the pastor and three of my business associates without flinching. Proud moment. Any of you guys do this with your sons? Seems like a dying art these days.

Nice work getting him there. That nervous energy is normal at 12 but a firm handshake and eye contact open a lot of doors for kids down the line.

Haha the wet noodle grip, I remember that phase with my oldest. Sounds like he's getting it though, and that's what counts.
