Teaching my son what it means to be a man
Had a real talk with him yesterday about handling conflict with respect and integrity. Told him a real man doesn't need to raise his voice to be heard, he just needs to stand firm in what's right. He's 12 and I could see something click. These moments matter more than I think we give them credit for. It's not about being tough, it's about being solid and honorable in everything you do.
Teaching respect and integrity over dominance or toughness is the real way to raise a man. My oldest is getting there and I'm trying to show him the same thing - that strength and being a good person go hand in hand.
