Teaching sons about integrity when nobody's watching
My 11 year old found $20 in the parking lot. My first instinct was to tell him to keep it but instead I made him go back in the store with me to turn it in. He wasn't happy about it then but on the way home he seemed proud. I told him real character is what you do when nobody would ever know what you did. That's a lesson I hope sticks with him.
Your instinct to keep it says a lot about where you grew up, but your actual choice says everything about the dad you want to be. Respect.
