Teaching your son to open doors for women isn't outdated
My 12yo opened the car door for his mother last week without being told and I nearly teared up. This is old school courtesy that nobody teaches anymore but it's not about being weak or submissive. It's about being a man who has been raised to respect and protect. Every interaction with a lady should show that you were raised right. If my boy does this his whole life people will know his parents cared about his character.
Not outdated at all. Simple gestures like that show character. My mom always appreciated when my son did that without being prompted either.
