The importance of keeping your word to your kids
Promised my youngest we'd go fishing last Saturday. Work got crazy but I almost cancelled. Then I thought about how many times my own dad kept his word when it would have been easier not to. I went anyway and caught some decent largemouth. He barely cared about the fish but he'll remember that dad showed up. That's the kind of man I want to be for my boys. Small promises kept build trust and character.
Man, this resonates. Work chaos is real but those moments with your kids are the ones they actually talk about years later. Glad you made it happen.
