My word is all I've got really. If I tell my kids I'll be there for their game I'm there. If I make a commitment at work I follow through. Seems like people don't put much stock in that anymore but it matters to me. It's about integrity and being someone people can count on. That's old fashioned maybe but I'm not changing.
Couldn't agree more. Between work and three kids here in Denver, I've learned that being reliable is actually easier than constantly making excuses. Your word builds trust, and that's worth more than anything.

This right here. My kids know I'm solid on my word. If I say I'll be at their thing I'm there unless something genuinely serious happens. That consistency matters more than any other kind of promise.
