The value of keeping your word
My word is all I've got really. If I tell my kids I'll be there for their game I'm there. If I make a commitment at work I follow through. Seems like people don't put much stock in that anymore but it matters to me. It's about integrity and being someone people can count on. That's old fashioned maybe but I'm not changing.
This right here. My kids know I'm solid on my word. If I say I'll be at their thing I'm there unless something genuinely serious happens. That consistency matters more than any other kind of promise.
This is the real leadership everyone should be talking about. Not fancy books, just keep your promises to the people counting on you.
