The value of mentoring younger men

One of my friends asked if I'd be willing to mentor his nephew who's just starting out at a law firm. I agreed without hesitation. There's something noble about taking a young man under your wing and showing him how to conduct himself with honor. I remember my grandfather doing the same for me and it shaped everything. We're meeting for breakfast weekly and talking about career, relationships, values. It's become one of the most rewarding things I do. Do any of you have mentors you've taken on or been mentored by?

That's awesome of you to step up for his nephew. Mentoring the next generation is how we all got where we are, and your willingness to do it without hesitation says a lot about your character.
