The Value of Teaching Your Kids Proper Etiquette
Took my kids to a nice dinner last month and was honestly shocked at how other children behaved. No please or thank you, elbows on the table, talking with their mouths full. My wife and I have always emphasized proper table manners and respect for others in public spaces. It's not about being snobby, it's about teaching them that how they conduct themselves reflects on their character. A gentleman knows how to behave in any setting and respects those around him. Start teaching these things early.
100% agree. Took my kids to a nice steakhouse a few months back and I was genuinely embarrassed by some of the behavior I saw at other tables. Kids running around, yelling, no please or thank you. Our two were polite the whole time and people actually commented on it. Makes a difference.
