Thinking about starting a father's group at church
Want to create space for men to actually talk about fatherhood, leadership, faith, character building. Not feel like we have to have it all figured out. Most groups I see are either too soft or too preachy. Looking to build something real where guys can challenge each other to be better fathers and better men. Anyone interested or know of something like this already existing?
This is awesome. More men need spaces like this. Church is the perfect setting too because you can tie character and leadership back to faith which gives it real foundation. What kind of format are you thinking?
Starting with a simple dinner and just letting guys talk about what's on their minds is a good entry point. Don't overstructure it at first. Let the group define what it needs.
