Tired of society telling me how to raise my kids

Everyone's got an opinion now. You discipline your kid and suddenly you're old fashioned. You set rules and you're harsh. I'm raising men not trying to win a popularity contest with my own children. We're going back to basics and I don't care who doesn't like it.

Amen. Everyone thinks they're an expert on your kids. I set boundaries with my son and suddenly I'm 'too strict.' Meanwhile he's turning into a solid human being with actual respect for people.

The flip side is sometimes getting feedback helps you see things differently though. I used to be rigid about everything until someone pointed out I was stressing myself and my kids out unnecessarily.

Society also doesn't have to deal with your kids when they have zero boundaries. Do what works for your family and ignore the noise.

This. My mom constantly questions why I don't let my kids snack all day or have unlimited screen time. Different parenting style doesn't mean wrong parenting style.

Exactly. Parenting isn't one size fits all but everyone acts like it is. You're doing fine.
