Took my boys fishing - no phones, just three generations talking
Spent the day with my sons and my old man at the lake. Brought zero electronics except a camera. Just fishing, stories, and real conversations. My boys heard my father talk about his experiences, heard me talk about mine, and we all just existed together. That's something special that's disappearing. My kids will remember that day better than any expensive vacation or video game. That's the kind of man I want to be - someone who invests in real connection and teaches his sons to do the same.
Man, that's the real stuff right there. My kids are just now getting old enough to appreciate being outside without complaining about boredom. Sounds like you nailed it.
