Been thinking about this a lot lately. For me it's about being someone my kids can count on no matter what. Keeping my word, showing up when I say I will, treating their mother with respect even after the divorce. Setting an example of how a man should carry himself. Not perfect by any means but trying to do right by them every single day. What's your take on it?
Real talk, it's about being reliable and teaching them right from wrong through your actions not just your words. Kids see through the BS.
This is something I think about every day with four kids. I think it's about being the steady presence. Not always getting it right but always trying to do better.
Showing up is huge. Friday movie night is non-negotiable in our house for that reason, gives them something they can count on.
Word. Building Hogwarts with my son taught me that it's the time spent together that they'll remember, not how perfect things are.
That's exactly it. My boys are 5 and 8 and they remember every promise I make. Being there and following through is what matters most.
For me it's showing up. Being present. Not perfect, just there. Making sure they know I've got their back no matter what.
