Getting some grief from coworkers about my 'old school' look but honestly I don't care. There's something about taking pride in your appearance that changes how you carry yourself. When I'm dressed well, I stand taller, I'm more focused, I treat people with more respect. It's not about being fancy, it's about showing the world you have standards for yourself. My dad always said you have to look the part before you can be the part. Apparently that's controversial now.

Your coworkers can say what they want but looking put together is never a bad thing. I respect the consistency and the message it sends to your kids about caring about yourself.

Nothing wrong with that at all. I do the same thing and my kids actually respect it more when they see their dad putting in the effort to look presentable. Sets a good example beyond just the clothes.
