My wife thinks I'm crazy but I write actual handwritten thank you notes after birthday parties and when someone does us a kindness. Takes 10 minutes. My kids have already started copying this habit without me forcing it. There's something about putting pen to paper that shows real respect and gratitude. In a world of texts and emails, a handwritten note stands out. It says you matter enough to me that I took time. Building character in my boys one note at a time.

Your wife thinks that's crazy but honestly it's class. Kids remember that stuff even if they don't say it. That's teaching them manners without even trying.
