Why I Still Write Thank You Notes by Hand

My wife thinks I'm crazy but every time someone does something for our family, I sit down with a pen and write a real thank you note. Not an email. Not a text. Takes me 10 minutes max but it shows respect for their time and effort. My kids see me do it and they're starting to understand that actions and words matter. The older generation still talks about the notes I've sent them. That's leadership in the small things.

Hand written thank you notes are classy. Your wife will get it when she realizes how much people appreciate that effort. It's a lost art honestly.

Not crazy at all. It shows character and your family sees it. Plus people talk about getting actual handwritten notes these days. It stands out.

Your wife might think it's overkill but just wait until someone tells her how much that note meant to them. That'll change her mind real quick.

I actually think this is cool. Kids need to see that kind of gratitude modeled. They'll remember doing this more than getting the gift half the time.
