My dad instilled this in me and I'm passing it down. After my boys' birthday party, we sat down and wrote actual handwritten thank you notes to everyone who came or sent gifts. Takes maybe 30 minutes total but you should see how people react when they get a real note in the mail instead of a text. It's a lost art and honestly it sets your kids apart. Shows character. Shows they were raised right.
Your boys are lucky. Sitting down after the party to write those notes together is way better than just tossing them in a drawer. That's how values stick.
