Why I Still Write Thank You Notes by Hand
Took me about an hour tonight to write thank you cards for the guys who helped us move last month. My wife thinks I'm old fashioned but I don't care. These men gave their time and effort. A typed email doesn't cut it. There's honor in putting pen to paper and showing genuine gratitude. My dad always said a man's word and his effort are his reputation. A handwritten note is part of that. Seems like this is getting rarer these days which makes it even more important.
An hour well spent. There's something about a handwritten note that a text or email just can't match. Those guys will remember that you took the time.
