Why I still write thank you notes with my kids
In this texting world I'm making sure my boys understand there's something about a handwritten note. When Grandma sends a gift, we sit down and write her a proper thank you. Takes fifteen minutes. My oldest asked why it matters so much and I told him it shows you care enough to take the time. That's the whole thing right there. You make time for what matters. You show respect and gratitude the old fashioned way.
Handwritten notes hit different. People actually remember getting them instead of a quick text. You're teaching your boys something that'll set them apart.
This. Small traditions like this are what kids remember. Not the stuff you buy them but the things you teach them to do right.
