Work hard and provide, what's wrong with that?
My wife keeps saying I need to be more involved in household stuff and parenting but I work 50 hours a week to keep a roof over our heads. I provide, I work hard, I come home and I'm present. But somehow that's not enough anymore? Maybe I'm old fashioned but a man's job is to provide and protect. When did that stop being respectable?
I work 50 hours too and still get the same talk. But here's the thing - household stuff and parenting isn't extra credit, it's just parenting. Your kids need more than just a paycheck.
