Anxiety is destroying my work performance
My boss pulled me aside yesterday because I've been making mistakes and missing deadlines. The thing is I KNOW I'm messing up but I can't stop second guessing everything I do. I spend 3 hours on something that should take 45 minutes because I keep going back to check it. Started having panic attacks in the car on the way to work. This is new for me in the last few months. Anyone else dealing with work anxiety like this?
Your boss calling you out probably made it worse, not better. That anxiety spiral just feeds itself. Have you considered talking to your company's HR about an EAP program? A lot of places have mental health resources.
