Anxiety is killing my ability to be a good parent

I've been dealing with anxiety for years but it's gotten so bad lately that I'm snapping at my kids over small stuff and then feeling guilty and spiraling about what kind of dad I am. I catastrophize about everything like if my son has a cough it must be pneumonia or if my daughter is quiet at school something's wrong. My wife suggested therapy again and I finally booked something. Scared but also desperate because I know my kids are picking up on my stress.

The snapping at small stuff then feeling guilty cycle is exhausting. Little league coaching has me in that headspace sometimes. Might be worth checking in with your doc if you haven't, anxiety can be managed way better than just dealing with it.
