Anxiety spirals keeping me up at night - anyone else deal with this?
I'll be fine all day and then 11pm hits and my brain just goes. Start thinking about money, my job security, if I'm a good enough dad, health stuff that's probably nothing. My heart races and I can't shut it off. Wife tells me to just go to sleep but it doesn't work like that. Started some CBT therapy last month and it's helping a little but some nights are still brutal. Looking for anything that actually works. Melatonin doesn't help. Exercising during the day helps a bit.
11pm anxiety is the worst. Your brain just switches into catastrophe mode when the house is quiet. I used to get the same spiral - money, work, health, kids, everything at once. Have you tried anything to interrupt the pattern when it starts?
