Anyone else get panic attacks from work emails?
I'll be sitting there doing normal stuff and then I'll see an email from my boss and my heart starts racing. Even when I open it and it's nothing serious I can't shake the feeling for like an hour. I'm thinking about talking to someone about it but it feels stupid. Anyone else deal with this? How did you work through it?
This is exactly why I set email boundaries. I don't check work stuff after 6 PM or on weekends. Your nervous system doesn't know the difference between a real threat and a boss email, so it just fires up every time.
