Anyone else get panic attacks when their kid gets sick?

My 4 year old came down with a fever last night and I completely spiraled. Started googling worst case scenarios at 2am, couldn't sleep, convinced myself something was seriously wrong. Wife finally got me to calm down. Kid was fine this morning, just a cold. But man, the anxiety was intense. Anyone else deal with this health anxiety when it comes to your kids? Feeling kinda dumb about it now.

This hits different when you're the one responsible, right? I remember my son had a fever and I had him at urgent care before my ex even knew about it. Turns out it was just his body fighting off something minor. Now when fevers happen I try to breathe first, panic second.

Dude, every time. My kid gets a runny nose and I'm already mentally preparing for the worst. I think it's just part of the job that nobody warns you about. The good news is the panic always seems worse than what actually happens.

Been there man. My oldest got a stomach bug when she was 4 and I was convinced it was appendicitis. Ended up being just a 24 hour thing but I didn't sleep that whole night. The googling spiral is real. Try to remember that kids bounce back way faster than our brains think they will.
