Dealing with loneliness as a stay at home dad
Been home with the kids for about 8 months now and the isolation is real. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids, but I miss just talking to adults. My wife works long hours and my friends all have their usual routines without me. Started going to the park and trying to talk to other parents but it's awkward and most of the moms seem to have their own groups already. Any stay at home dads here dealing with this? How do you stay sane?
Real talk - there's a reason stay at home is harder than people think. You're literally with them 24/7 and the work doesn't stop. Have you talked to your wife or partner about getting some regular alone time built in? Not luxury, necessity.
