Depression hits harder in fall
Every year around September I start feeling the weight again. Days getting shorter, less sunlight, and I just feel stuck. This year I'm trying to be proactive about it. Got a light therapy lamp coming next week and I'm going to try to get outside more even when I don't feel like it. Last year I just suffered through it so I'm trying something different.
Have you talked to your doctor about it? The seasonal thing is real and there are actually treatments that can help if it gets bad. No shame in getting support.
The days getting shorter is brutal. I try to keep the house brighter with lights and get the kids out before it gets dark, which forces me out too. Helps more than you'd think.
