Feeling isolated even when surrounded by family

Anyone else feel like they're going through the motions but nobody really gets you? I've got a wife and three kids but I feel completely alone most days. Like I'm performing the role of dad/husband but nobody knows the real me. Tried talking to my buddy about it and he just said I need to exercise more. That's not really the issue.

I hear you man. Being around people all day doesn't mean they're actually seeing you. With my newborn keeping me up at night, I feel that disconnect even with my wife sometimes. You're not alone in feeling alone.

Three kids is a lot and I get how you can feel invisible in the chaos. Co-parenting taught me that sometimes you gotta speak up about what you need instead of just going through the motions. Have you talked to your wife about how isolated you're feeling?
