Feeling like I'm failing everyone
Work is demanding more hours, kids need help with homework, wife is stressed about her job, and I'm just here running on fumes. Every night I go to bed thinking about all the things I messed up that day. Can't sleep, wake up exhausted, and do it all over again. I don't know how to be better at this. Anyone else feel like you're constantly letting people down?
You're not failing. That feeling is real but it's also the worst lie your brain tells you. You're showing up for your kids, you're here talking about it. That's already more than a lot of people. One thing at a time, man.
With four kids I've learned you have to give yourself some grace. You're going to drop some balls. The fact that you care this much means you're doing better than you think.
