Feeling lonely even though I'm never alone
This is weird to say because I have a wife and two kids and I'm constantly around people. But sometimes I feel so isolated. Like nobody really knows me or what's going on in my head. Everyone just sees dad or husband or the guy at work. Sometimes I wonder if anyone would actually care about just me. Anyone else feel this way? How do you combat it?
I get this more than you'd think. Being surrounded by people, especially little ones who need constant attention, doesn't mean you're actually connected to anyone. Sometimes you're just the guy running the show, not the guy being seen. Have you talked to your wife about this or is it hard to bring up?
