Feeling lonely even though I'm surrounded by people
This is going to sound weird but being a dad can be really isolating sometimes. I'm home with the kids all day and my wife works full time so I'm solo parenting most of the time. I don't really have dad friends to hang out with and I miss talking to other adults. It's like nobody understands what this is like. Anyone else feel this way?
Dude, you just described my life. I'm home with three kids and my wife works, so theoretically I should be fine, but the isolation is real. The kid conversations are great but they don't fill that adult void, you know? Started going to a local coffee spot on Tuesday mornings while they're at school. Changed my whole perspective.
