Feeling really alone even though I have a family

Weird thing to say I know but I feel super isolated most days. My wife is great but she doesn't get the dad stuff, work is isolating, I don't really have close friends nearby anymore. My kids need me and I love them but sometimes I feel like nobodys really checking in on ME, you know? Like whos asking how IM doing? Im the one who has to keep it together. Anyone else feel like this or am I just being ungrateful?

Your wife loves you and supports you but she's not living the working dad grind the same way. That's just real. Have you found any dad groups or anything? Even just online spaces where you can talk to guys in the same boat helps.

Not weird at all man. You can have great people around you and still feel like nobody really gets it. The dad stuff is a unique kind of pressure and if you don't have another dad who understands it can feel pretty lonely.

This community is here for that exact reason. A lot of us feel the same isolation even in a full house. You're not alone in feeling alone if that makes sense.

The loneliness is real even with people everywhere. Sometimes you just need to talk to another dad who gets why you can't switch off from work mode or why you're carrying everything on your shoulders.
