Feeling really alone even though I'm surrounded by people

Work is fine, got coworkers, go to my kids soccer games, but I feel like I'm just going through the motions every day. No one really knows me. My buddies are all about their work drama and fantasy football, nobody checks in on how I'm actually doing. Started wondering if this is just what being an adult is or if something is actually wrong with me. Anyone deal with this?

Man, I hear this. Being surrounded by people but feeling invisible is rough. Even at soccer games sometimes I'm just watching the sidelines instead of actually being present. Maybe start with one person you can be real with?

That going through the motions feeling hits different when you're a parent. I'm brand new to this dad thing but I'm already learning that showing up isn't the same as connecting. Might be worth talking to someone about it.
