Feeling really lonely even though I have a family
This is hard to admit but I feel isolated a lot. I love my wife and kids but we're at different life stages. My buddies all still go out and do their thing and I'm home with the kids. Work is draining. By the time everyone's asleep I'm just exhausted and scrolling my phone alone. Feel like no one really gets what I'm going through as a dad. Anyone else feel like this?
This hits hard because it's real. You can be surrounded by people and still feel alone. Have you thought about talking to someone, like a therapist? No shame in that.
Co-parenting taught me that loneliness is about connection, not presence. You might need to find your people. Dad groups, hobby communities, something where you feel seen.
