Feeling really lonely even though I'm always busy

This might sound weird but I'm a dad of three boys and I'm constantly doing stuff with them or for them, and I still feel incredibly isolated. My friends all kinda drifted away after I had kids and now I don't really have anyone to talk to about adult stuff. My wife tries to listen but shes overwhelmed too. Is this normal? How do you guys balance being present as a dad and maintaining your own friendships and identity?

The playground is where I've actually built real friendships with other dads. Your kids need you there anyway, so at least you can talk to someone while they're playing. Might help with that isolation.

I feel this man. With homework and bedtimes and all the logistics, I'm constantly busy but still feel disconnected. Maybe we need to carve out actual friend time separate from the dad stuff, you know?
