Feeling really lonely even though I'm surrounded by people

Between work, the kids, and my wife I'm literally never alone but I feel completely isolated. Like nobody really gets what's going on in my head. I put on a good face at work and at home but inside I'm struggling. Started therapy last month which helps a little but some days are still really hard. Just needed to write this out I guess.

That's a tough spot and I hear you. Even with my kids on weekends I can feel isolated sometimes because nobody really gets the internal stuff you're dealing with. You're not alone in feeling alone.

Being surrounded by people but feeling isolated is real, man. Have you thought about talking to someone about what's going on in your head? Sometimes we need to actually say it out loud to someone who gets it.
