Finally on meds after 10 years of suffering
Just wanted to share that I finally got help. Spent a decade thinking I could just tough out depression on my own, that real men don't need pills or therapy. What a waste. Been on antidepressants for 3 months now and the difference is honestly night and day. I actually want to do things again. I can be patient with my kids without feeling like I'm going to explode. This isn't weakness, it's actually the strongest thing I've done for my family.
Welcome to the other side. It's wild how much clearer everything gets when your brain chemistry isn't working against you. Tough it out mentality almost cost me my marriage so I get why you held off for so long.
How long did it take to feel the difference after starting? I'm asking for a friend who's been on the fence about this.
