Finally opened up to my brother about depression and I feel lighter
Never thought I'd tell anyone in my family about this but I texted my brother a few days ago about how I've been struggling since our second kid was born. Instead of judging me or making it weird, he just said 'I've been there' and we talked for like an hour. Turns out HE struggled with the same thing when his kids were young and never told anyone either. Just knowing I'm not the only one made such a difference. Why is asking for help so damn hard?
That's huge man, seriously. Opening up to family about mental health is one of the hardest things to do. How did your brother respond?
