Finally talked to my doctor about anxiety
Been putting this off for like 2 years. Kept thinking I could just manage it myself or that it wasn't "bad enough" for meds. Had a panic attack at my son's soccer game last weekend (couldn't even catch my breath) and finally called my GP.
Got prescribed sertraline, started it last week. Haven't felt any miracles yet but honestly just having a plan feels better. Took me way too long to do this. If you're on the fence about it, just make the appointment.
Good on you for actually making that call. I've been telling myself the same thing for like a year and a half now. What finally pushed you to do it?
2 years man, that's a long time to carry that around. Really glad you reached out. Did your doctor recommend anything specific or are you still in the figuring out stage?
